Ladies Boutique Expands
its Chic Clothing Options
What a difference a year makes! Since Bella Caley opened on Jefferson Avenue in downtown Naperville last June, the ladies' boutique has continued to expand its clothing options and was recently voted "Favorite Apparel Boutique" by Glancer Magazine readers.
The increase in affordable and chic clothing has been a strategic move, said owner Cindy Meals. When the store opened in 2010, the focus was spread equally among clothing, jewelry and home décor. As the clothing in particular proved very popular, Cindy opted to bring in more brands and more options, vastly expanding upon the initial offerings.
The store now offers the latest fashions from popular retailers such as Jack and B.B. Dakota, in addition to local designers such as Samantha Raphael and her Winter Blues Jeans.
As the store transitions to fall, Bella Caley will bring in more light sweaters that can take the edge off cool end-of-summer nights, chic skirts and dresses that work equally well with sandals or boots, and handbags that pull double duty as school bags and chic carry-alls.
"Fall is such a great time for fashion," Cindy said. "You get the chance to pair summer staples with new pieces in great, rich colors."
Prints will continue to be big for fall, she said, as are jewel tones and layered looks that adapt well to changing temperatures.
The store continues to offer a wide range of affordable jewelry, in addition to other accessories such as scarves, belts, headbands and, as the weather cools, fashionable gloves. Home décor and gift items such as candles and lotion continue to be popular as well, Cindy said.
"I love this time of year in downtown Naperville," she said. "Everyone's out and about. We try to keep the door open on nice days."
